I always make sure I have a jar of parmesan cheese on hand. This way, all you need is a few other staples and you're set!
1 1/2 cups pasta (any favorite)
1 tab. butter
1 tab. flour
1/3 cup parmesan cheese
1 1/4 cup of milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Bring 1 quart of water to boil and cook pasta according to directions. Drain and reserve. In the meantime, put butter and flour in the bottom of a saucepan. Cook on med./low until melted and creamy. Add parmesan cheese, milk, salt, pepper and stir quickly until it resembles a smooth, creamy cheese sauce. You may want to add a tad more milk, parmesan cheese, or salt depending on your own taste preferences. Pour over noodles.
